Desert Festival of Jaisalmer: A three day long colorful events displaying traditional culture, folk songs and dance of imperial state of Rajasthan, India. Main attractions of this festival is Jaisalmer Fort situated on Meru Hill and is built by the Bhati Rajput king Jaisal Singh in in 1156. It is one of most awaited cultural and colorful festival showcasing Rajasthani folk songs and dance. Jaisalmer Fort - World Heritage Site Jaisalmer Fort - Raj Mahal – Laxminath & Ornate Jain Temple

Jaisalmer Fort- One of the largest fortified cities in the world located in Rajasthan. It is a World Heritage Site built in 1156 AD by Rajput king Rawal Jaisal. The fort situated between in great Thar Desert on Trikuta Hill. Massive walls of fort are looking like honey-gold during sun sets. It is also regarded as Sonar Quila or Golden Fort. The Raj Mahal - known as Royal Palace, Ornate Jain Temples and Laxminath Temple are major attractions of this massive fort. The bastions of fort form a chain about 30 ft and it has four entrances to town-side as Ganesh, Akshya,  Suraj and Hawa Pol. There are seven Jain Temple inside the fort built by yellow sandstone. The fort has numerous mess hall containing Italian, French and native dishes.  It is second oldest fort in Rajasthan having 250 ft height & 30 feet high wall and 99 bastions.
